OSII releases its Statement of Outcomes
Since the launch of the NSW Social Impact Investment Policy in 2015, the NSW Government has been at the forefront of social impact investment market, demonstrating best practice in delivering outcomes-based contracts by Government, fostering innovation, measuring and evaluating social impact and building a market for outcomes.
The Office of Social Impact Investment is pleased to launch its Social Impact Investment Statement of Outcomes - the final look back at the progress made over the past four years of delivering the SII Policy. Since 2015, all 10 actions under the Policy have been successfully delivered, with some continuing.
Highlights include developing and implementing six social impact investments which, together with the first two SIIs delivered in 2013, will deliver innovative programs to around 16,000 vulnerable people. This represents approximately $235 million in Government investment in payment by outcomes contracts in areas of out-of-home-care, homelessness, youth unemployment, recidivism, palliative care and mental health.
2020 will bring the launch of the next phase of the SII Policy and OSII’s core goals going forward in Social Impact Investment Policy 2.0: Growing Our Impact. We will be reporting against progress of these new goals from 2020 onwards.
