Launch of social impact investment addressing homelessness

The NSW Office of Social Impact Investment is excited to announce the launch of its latest social impact investment with the Department of Family and Community Services.  The investment delivers the Home and Healthy Program, which is aimed at reducing homelessness for adults leaving health facilities.

The Home and Healthy Program will support approximately 1,220 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, through holistic case management to meet participants’ needs to achieve sustained housing, and improved employment and training outcomes.

Mission Australia will deliver the program in Sydney, South Eastern Sydney, South Western Sydney, and Western Sydney over six years, commencing in July 2019.

The NSW Government committed $20 million to this crucial investment as part of the NSW Homelessness Strategy.
