OSII meets with investor delegation from Indonesia
The Office of Social Impact Investment (OSII) spent a couple of hours last week sharing their experiences of impact investment in NSW with a large investor delegation from Indonesia.
The delegation, which comprised staff from some of Indonesia’s largest banks, pension funds, insurance, and financial services firms, was visiting Australia on a tour to learn more about impact investment.
Together, we had a lively conversation about how investments are developed and structured, how outcomes are measured, how financial returns are determined and who defines social outcomes.
The delegation was especially impressed with both the social and financial performances of NSW’s two social benefit bonds.
Part of OSII’s role is to build awareness of impact investment and to build interest in the market. Meetings like this where we share our experience as leaders in impact investment, are just one way we do this.
