Presentations from CEDA’s event on 7 May
Wendy Haigh from the Benevolent Society and Peter Taplin from Westpac recently spoke about how one of NSW’s social benefit bonds is helping to tackle entrenched disadvantage.
Wendy and Peter have been involved in developing and implementing the Benevolent Society bond, which funds the Resilient Families Service to keep children at risk of entering out-of-home care safely with their families.
They both presented at CEDA’s Sydney launch of its first research report for 2015, Addressing Entrenched Disadvantage in Australia on 7 May:
- Resilient Families: Examining the impact of social benefits bonds, delivered by Wendy Haigh
- The Future of SBBs: Delivering investor returns and achieving social benefits, delivered by Peter Taplin.
